ANN ARBOR – A peregrine falcon returned to nest on University of Michigan’s campus and the school wants the public’s help in naming the new chick.
The large bird of prey is the fastest bird and animal in the world, reaching speeds of more than 200 mph when performing hunting dives.
U-M’s Public Affairs office tweeted a photo of the fuzzy little guy with a request for name submissions.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas â You might look up at the sky at the Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve and see a familiar bird flying: the Purple Martin. They came back to the preserve around this Spring and will be staying here until around September.
Volunteer at the preserve Tom Sullivan said heâs been into birding for years and said a few years ago he tried housing Purple Martins at his home, but he was unsuccessful. Through trial and error he was able to move their house and now he has Purple Martinâs at his home, but thatâs not the only place he takes care of the birds.
